In New Jersey, the Lemon Law is an important and effective state law which enables the consumer of a defective car to acquire a full refund of the purchase price of the vehicle, or new car replacement in the event that the manufacturer fails to repair a nonconformity (that is, a defect or condition which substantially impairs the use, value, or safety of the car) within a reasonable number of attempts, as defined in the lemon law. Furthermore, the New Jersey lemon law act provides for the full payment of all legal fees and costs by the manufacturer, should the consumer prevail under the act. If you think that you have a lemon, you may be entitled to a settlement under the lemon law and/or federal warranty act.
